Drawn to music at an early age influences came from the family's diverse collection and listening to live performances at clubs that his mothers siblings managed. The club music was mainly jazz based with a blues/country infusion. His mother could see a passion for music and gifted John a guitar for his fifth birthday which he still has - An old Fender six string acoustic that has been played so much love the fretboard has begun to scallop.

The country landscape is the driver for the alt country music. The experiences gained along the journey are the stories in the songs.

The sound is earthy, has roots and comes with heart felt emotion.
